Would it make you jealous if I told you that I've sat in an F-16CG Block 40/42 several times (the same jet that just hours before had flown a full on F-16 demo) and that I've sat in and flown a real F-16C familiarization trainer at Nellis AFB, NV?

And to think I've never even worn a flight suit. Furthering that, I've never actually, well, met the same pilot twice. Talked with a few on various spot (and drooling/babbling/otherwise going gaga) occasions, but never had an opportunity to see the same guy twice. Only ever touched an F-16 once on one incredible weekend whose photo still hangs on my wall today...

I was on first name basis with the F-16 demo pilot (he hugged me actually for what I did for him) and same deal with the pilot from 07-08. Great guys. I'll get the photos up soon.

Like you wouldn't believe. ;) I swear, I think the most appropriate term would be "Obsessed". =P

It's just an extraordinarily beautiful plane! Nowadays it may not be the most technologically advanced plane (though it's sure had its share of upgrades, the US isn't buying any new ones... phooey), but I don't think it can be topped for sheer grace and beauty in design!

I do agree, it is one of the most beautiful airplanes ever built. It gives "sexy" a whole new meaning in aviation ;). However, the F-22 beats it.
